Historically, there have been several main evolutional events such as the discovery of the number zero, the invention of the wheel, electricity, and the internet. All of these have made human beings’ lives tremendously easier and more comfortable. However, there is another study that could make the easier lives remain literally for good; embryonic stem cell research. According to the website of the National Institutes of Health, “Stem cells…have the remarkable potential to develop into many different cell types in the body. Serving as…repair system for the body, they…without limit to replenish…as long as the person or animal is still alive. When a stem cell divides, each “daughter” cell has the potential to either remain a stem cell or become another type of cell with a more specialized function, such as a muscle cell, a red blood cell, or a brain cell.”
